NEW AUCKLAND – ESTABLISHED & FAMILY FRIENDLY

New Auckland is a well-established suburb and is located near neighbouring suburbs Clinton and Kirkwood.

New Auckland is an established residential area  popular with young families,  professionals and retirees with 19.4% of the suburb residents classed as being maturing couples and  families (source realestate.com.au 2018).

There are three key drivers behind their choice:

  1. Established area with family focus, established parks, and footpaths
  2. Clinton State School catchment area and St Johns Catholic School
  3. Suburban Lifestyle with easy assess to the airport and Red Rover Access Road

Locals to the area also enjoy the variety of shopping and services, including Clinton Takeaway, Clinton Bakery and Stockland Shopping Centre.  The Bunnings Centre and Harvey Road Tavern are also popular venues for local residents.

Unique to the area

Gladstone Airport arrivals terminal

New Auckland is positioned to get beautiful sunsets. With easy access to Calliope Rd, as-well as Kirkwood road, it is a 10 to 15 minute drive to most places in the region including Tannum Sands and Boyne Island.  This suburb is also home to the Wallabies and Valleys Football Clubs.  The Gladstone Airport is also only a stone’s throw across the highway from New Auckland.

The Market is Moving!

This is a fantastic time for young families, professionals  and investors to enter an affordable market, given recent signs of stability and an overwhelming return of buyers to the market including investors.

At the present time, New Auckland has a median sale price of $146,000 for three bedroom homes and $290,000 for four bedroom homes.  Similarly, median rental prices sit around $175 per week for a three bedroom home and $250 per week for a four bedroom home (Source realestate.com.au 2018).  Days on market are also improving which means that properties are being bought and sold quicker.  This is driven by demand and a willingness for buyers to get into the market before an impending price rise given our strengthening local economy.

At the moment we have a shortage of homes to sell in this area so if you are thinking of moving, we would welcome a confidential chat to discuss the  market and the option of selling.
