LOCATIONS WELCOMES MICHAEL TO THE SALES TEAM

It’s not everyday you get a chance to start in real estate sales, and this last few months has certainly been a big eye-opener to say the least.

24 hours a day, 7 days a week, I am learning about this beast called real estate and how I fit into the bigger picture.

LOCATIONS estate agents are a local agency, and I was excited to join their sales team in August this year.  While I waited for my licence to arrive, I learned the ropes from my colleagues – a great opportunity for anyone starting in sales.  Alicia, Angie, Sarah, Lynda and Jenny have been generous in their time and knowledge.  From here I have started to develop my own style while incorporating key elements from each of the sales team.

I have always had a passion for real estate, and I was very excited when the opportunity arose to pursue my chosen career.  Being a ‘local’ of 17 years, I’ve been able to see firsthand how the Gladstone market behaves; the ups, the downs and everything in between.

I have a great group of family and friends who support me 100% which is essential to working hard and getting results in this tough industry.  My background in basketball has taught me the importance of training, dedication and consistency as well as working in a team environment with common goals.

Prior to LOCATIONS I worked at Bill Robertson Toyota for three and a half years and was promoted to Fleet Sales consultant.  During this time I developed strong working relationships with a great community of clients.

Coming from the motor industry I have learned plenty of sales and service skills that will help with a smooth transition into real estate.  Great customer services never goes out of fashion.

Being new to the industry, I am eager to help clients achieve their real estate goals.  My key strengths are communicating with clients on any level.  I am always willing to provide clients with advice about buying or selling a property and I pride myself on getting back to people as soon as possible.

I also consider myself as a strong negotiator which was a skill I developed in my previous sales job.  At the end of the day, looking at the bigger picture and coming up with a solution that suits both parties is essential to getting the job done.  None of the above can be possible without a strong work ethic and I am extremely dedicated to exhausting all options to ensure my clients receive a positive outcome.  Most of all, I believe it is my calm nature and friendly personality that is my greatest asset.  I really enjoy getting to know people, their story and how I can help them achieve their real estate goals.  Creating a stress-free environment for both buyers and sellers is key to a smooth transaction.
